Working Process of Concrete Mixing Plant

A concrete mixing plant consists of aggregate dosing machine, belt conveyor of high-inclination angle, mixer, pumps for water and additives, silos for concrete and coal ash, screw conveyor, weighing system and electronic control system.

The working process of a concrete mixing plant is as followed. First, the forklift feds aggregates into hoppers of the dosing machine before the belt conveyor of large-inclination angle is started. Then stock bins open to allow aggregates fall into weigh hoppers in which the aggregates are weighed cumulatively by the lever quantifier. After that the belt conveyor below the weigh hoppers is started. Weighed aggregates are sent by the conveyor onto large-inclination angle conveyor by which they come into the aggregate storage tray at the top of the mixer for temporary storage. Second, screw conveyors connected to concrete and coal ash silos send concrete and ash to weigh bins for weighing. Third, water and additives are weighed respectively. Fourth, aggregates, concrete, coal ash, water and additives are sent into the mixer respectively at proper time. The materials are usually dosed by two times. Water, additives, concrete and coal ash are stirred and mixed completely first. Then aggregates are fed into the mixture which is stirred for a second time. The time period of stirring varies according to different mixing types and properties of mixed materials. Normally each type of concrete mixing plant has its own shortest mixing time listed in instruction book. After the concrete mixing plant finishes mixing, the finished materials fall into a concrete mixer truck which send them to construction sites.
